April 2018 Recap

Updated: May 9, 2018

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that the tail end of March and April were crazy busy. (If you don’t follow me on Instagram, what are you waiting for?!)

I was gone every other weekend, five weekends in a row. My best friend turned 30. I traveled back to one of my favorite cities. We flew to New York to celebrate my baby cousin’s wedding.

Oh, and we moved. At the end of March (like, March 30th), we suddenly decided April would be our last month in our apartment. A bunch of reasons led up to our decision, but we’re back up in Charm City. At least for now…

So, here's a peek into last month!

We went to the Eastern Shore for Mandi's birthday! It was my first time visiting St. Michaels, a super cute little town. We went to the winery for a wine tasting, which was also a first for me! If you go, I highly recommend the Gollywobbler Red. So good, and I don't usually do red wines.

I flew to Indianapolos for the Reset Conference. I went last year and really enjoyed myself, so I decided to go back this year! I stayed in Fountain Square this time, and it was perfectly quirky and walkable. My favorite place to eat (Three Carrots!) opened up a location in Fountain Square so I ate there... several times in one weekend. If you like bomb plant-based food... this is the place to go!

At the end of the month, my cousin Jennifer got married! Nothing makes me feel older than things like my brother turning 27 or my baby cousin getting married. We flew to Rochester, NY and thankfully it wasn't snowing! Andrew handled the car rental and you guys... he got us a Mustang. Literally LOL. He was thrilled about it, but I can't think of a car less ME than a Mustang. Seriously, some of the features are just... too much for me.

We were nearly late to the wedding when, while getting ready, I realized I FORGOT MY SHIRT FOR THE WEDDING. Luckily Target had my back and was a quick five minute drive away. The wedding was a super fun party, and my girl looked beautiful. Andrew and I didn't have a lot of time to explore Rochester, but we did find a super cute place to eat the bestttt vegan food. I'm still dreaming about those buffalo cauliflower bakes, because that's what I do... travel and eat.

So, that was April. A bit of a whirlwind. Thankfully, May is starting to slow down. We still have lots of unpacking to do but I'm honestly just fine living out of my overnight bag for now...
